Recommend me a travel coffee cup

Ok, inspired by the "We're consuming too much" thread over in Chat(? AIBU? Somewhere) I've decided to ask for an eco travel cup thingy for Christmas.

I need recommendations for a good one, preferably available from somewhere other than Amazon.

So, I want to make my tea in the morning, and be able to carry it about, still warm, until the afternoon. Needs to be non-spill.

Not sure whether to go for bamboo (needing replaced after a couple of years, but biodegradable/sustainable), metal (presumably lasts indefinitely) or plastic (I assume this is the least good option).

Friend who'll buy me it generally spends £10-15, so within that if possible.

Bodum travel cup, from Amazon or John Lewis (as well as other places I assume) - they're the bees knees. I use mine every day. You can also get a plunger top so you can make ground coffee in it like a mini cafetière.

Looks good! We don't have John Lewis here, but I've seen Bodum in a local garden centre, I think, so I'm sure it'll be findable locally.

I have 2- a plastic one and a glass/cork one.

You can pick your own colour combinations for the plastic one. They're great!

A bit above the budget, but the Kleen Kanteen ones are meant to be amazing! I'm just waiting for mine to arrive so can't give a personal recommendation yet but they apparently are totally spill proof and keep drinks hot for hours! I've ordered from Babipur

T2 has an excellent selection of thermases specifically designed for tea. Everything from simple coffe cup style set us to ones with built in mesh cages for tea leaves or even matcha whisks. The tea is heavenly too!

I have an eCoffee Cup, which is my favourite thing ever! Mine is a really pretty one from William Morris Gallery in London but you can get them elsewhere and they're within your price range. Just watch the little thing at the top that seals the holes, I lost mine early on.

This is the kind of thing I mean, but they're available in loads of designs and also on eBay for under £10 (I think mine was about £13).

I'm very annoyed to have to make this recommendation, but for keeping things warm and not spilling I'm afraid the 10oz metal travel mug from Starbucks can't be beaten.

Have a couple of keep cups, nice but don't insulate well. Got one of the posh glass ones, doesn't insulate, looks pretty though. Tried a bodum, costs more than Starbucks and doesn't fasten quite as well.

I have one from tiger. very slim but wide(ish) neck.
coffee shops have so far not objected to it.

Contigo are the only cup I have ever had which I can throw in my handbag and won't leak.
Tea without milk made at 8am will still be proper hot at 12

The body is steel, and though the lid is plastic, you can buy replacement lids and parts

I have a Contigo and would really recommend it. Has never leaked. Tea made at 7:30 still warm at 12:30 (I make mine with milk but if you drank it black would probably still be hot then).

Kleen kanteen, from babipur, best travel mug ever. Have burnt my mouth 4 hours after making coffee as it stayed so warm. Maybe slightly above your budget but the best every and no leaks.

Love my Contigo. Never spills, puts up with being very battered about, and stuff stays hot for hours. I hesitated because it seemed expensive but it was very worth it.

Contigo all the way. They are metal, with plastic lids, but I can't see myself every needing to buy another one in my lifetime, it's that well made.

I have a Kooyi; it keeps drinks hot for ages, but I find it a bit awkward to drink out of so wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

I've only ever heard good things about Klean Kanteen OTOH; you can also get them from &Keep - and I've just seen that they have 20% off everything until tomorrow night.

, stays shut and keeps it hot.

Bonus if it has a Costa hot choc with marshmallows in!
