WWYD - Plastic recycling

We've moved to a new county in last 3 months and were given recycling containers which we sort of guessed were for plastic/glass and cans/ food waste and paper/card

  • there was no recycling facility in our old county so we were pretty chuffed !

The recycling has been picked up each week and disposed of weekly, our landfill waste is picked up every fourtnight :)

We use a lot of plastic it seems. Our plastic bin is always full and always emptied. We even noted to each other how much less waste is off to landfill now that we have the facility to recycle.

So my problem..
A generic timetable and bin explaination came today. It seems the plastic part is only for bottles ?! So do I..
A) continue to put everything plastic in for recycling as it's been taken away without issue
Or B) only recycle bottles as directed but so much more would be going to landfill ?!

Thoughts please ? WWYD?

Can you take the plastic to the tip once a month?

A lot of supermarkets now have recycling facilities for 'other plastic', which is where I end up taking everything else. My county only want plastic bottles and cardboard in the household recycling bins.
