Whether or not to buy Christmas gifts for best friends babies?

Hi

I'm in a bit of dilemma of whether to buy my 3 best friends Christmas gifts for their babies. We usually exchange small gifts with each other, but now I'm unsure whether to start the trend of buying gifts for the kids too. I'm guessing a little something won't do any harm especially since they are all new mothers. They each have babies under a year old.

What do most people do?

The usual thing is to change to only buying for the kids.

Nope its fun for the first one then hoardes of babies arrive. I'll get new babies presents, christenings, naming ceremonies, any birthday parties I'm invited to etc, and will send cards but I'm not spending loads of time and money on kids who get stacks of presents from their families. Its my friends I want to buy for Smile

Oh don’t do it, you’ll be stuck buying them all (and all future kids) gifts forever and ever. There’s just no need. If you really want to, get them something like a “X’s first Christmas” bauble for the tree, not a proper big present.

Yeah, all good points! I’ll just get little things this year and bring up the subject with the girls. Maybe a secret Santa between us all for the kids would be a good way to do it x
