It depends whether you were looking for evidence of something under the bed or you accidentally stumbled on it. It's all about the intent imo

I found a load of old cards from my DP's ex the same way. I wasn't snooping, they were just there and he'd forgotten.
As an aside, why on earth are you cleaning under his bed if you don't live together?

Why were you cleaning under the bed when you don't live there? It does sound like snooping, I wouldn't go opening boxes when it's not your house.

If you lived together it would be perfectly normal thing to do-maybe the box was yours and you had forgotten about it. But seeing as you are not living together-what are you doing cleaning at all?
