I try to shop ethically for my family's food & drink. The usual rules obviously apply wherever possible - local, fair trade, low animal protein, high welfare values, organic, ethical cotton and so on.
What else should I consider? Ate there any countries that I should avoid? what about Israel or Palestine?? - it's not simple, like it used to be with South African apples!
Obviously price does come into the equation too.
(Just to complicate matters, I am almost housebound, rely on supermarket deliveries plus occasional trips to our local farmers shop & although I try, I simply cannot cook everything from scratch.)
Any advice welcome!
