Can anyone help me work out my pro rata holiday allowance please?

I've just started a new permanent job working 20 hours per week over 3 days (Weds, Thurs and Fri). The standard holiday entitlement for full time workers is 22 days (standard week is 39 hours) + the 8 bank holidays. Allowing for the fact that most bank holidays fall on on Monday how do I ensure I get a fair bank holiday entitlement.

Also, is it correct that my pro rata holiday allowance for holidays (not including BH) would be 22 days divided by 5 x 3 = 13.2 or do I need to take into account that their standard working week is almost double my working hours even though they are spread over 3 shorter working days? And would I round 13.2 days up to 13 and a half or round it down to 13?

Any advice gratefully received

When I worked part-time mine would have been worked out as -

20/39 x 30 days (the 22 plus the 8 bank holidays)

Mine was worked out in hours though instead of days, so I'd have got 20/39 x 30 x 7hrs 24 mins

Does that help?

If your salary is pro-rata 20/39, then your holiday entitlement will be too, not 3/5
