Get a big desk, comfy chair and lots of storage, sorry but at the moment I'm perched on a footstool in front of a ridiculously small desk that has no room for writing, and piles of stuff everywhere.

Whatever you do yo have to give it a dedicated area, whether its the end of the breakfast bar and a kitchen cupboard, under the stairs or a whole room be serious about how much room you need.

thanks Skribble. Those are useful tips.I've got a good place, just no work. I've heard about things like proof reading, filling in surveys, etc. I just wondered if anybody had experience of these things and had any pointers. Some of the work from home stuff on the net seems too good to be true. Afraid of being conned.

if it seems to good to be true then it usually is. What skills do you have? search past threads on this site, there are lots of previous threads about this subject.

Thanks. I'm new to mumsnet. I'll look at the previous threads. I've just completed a degree in psychology so I have analytical/research skills. I'd like to do further study but funds are a bit tight so I thought online working might be a bit of a stopgap.
