I hate Bank Holiday calculations.
I hate working it out.
I hate part timers (although I am one) and their gripes about Bank holiday entitlement.
I hate it. I have always hated it.
I hate that it is so hard for people to understand even when I. am. talking. very. slowly.
I hate the stupid websites that allow people to work out their holiday entitlement incorrectly.
I hate ACAS for giving crap advice.

10 years in HR and I still hate Bank Holidays.

Keep breathing mate, it will be fine.

I agree bank holidays are an inconvenient confusion sent to muddy the waters and irritate hard-working HR people.

I'm in favour of rolling everyone's holiday up into x days a year but specifying in contracts that the employer will dictate some of those days. But people like having their bank holidays as separate, just to confuse the issue.

ACAS are irritating I agree, too much wrong advice being handed out from there.

Where are you off to, anywhere nice? We had 5 days at Centerparcs a couple of weeks ago, which was fab.

Menorca, we fly out tomorrow afternoon for a week with my parents. I steadfastly maintained I would not go abroad last year, due to finding the whole experience entirely stressful last year, but was sorely tempting by dreams of sun and blue swimming pools.

How are you feeling, you must be all ready for ds2's arrival now?!

Not feeling too bad, bit uncomfortable but all's well considering.

Not quite ready, getting there. Started to feel a bit more real now iykwim?

Have just taken delivery of a new Phil and Teds Vibe, second baby monitor and new mattresses for the cot and moses basket. New bed and mattress for DS coming next week, he's very excited at getting a 'really BIG bed' and choosing a duvet set to go on it.

How's things with you? Well over half way now I guess? Sickness better yet?

That's brilliant. As long as all the 'big' stuff is sorted, everything else should be easy, especially as I'm assuming you still have all ds1's clothes etc.

Yeah, 24 weeks now. Still mildly nauseous, but nothing like in the first 20 weeks. Replaced by hideous heartburn.

And lots of concerns about the fact that dd still sleeps in our bedroom

Still got a lot of his clothes, yep, so not a lot else to buy which is great.

Glad your sickness is better, although shame about the heartburn - the middle bit is when you are supposed to be feeling fantastic so shame if you're not.

Still time to sort the sleeping out, don't panic. Got to be done though...

I know, I know.

I will. Honest.

Dh remarked that we'd end up with both of them in our room, and this "isn't the f*cking Waltons".
