Just wondering how your school are organising APP.

How many children are you assessing?
Are you just starting APP or a long way through?
Are you focusing on English and Maths or starting with one subject area first?
What does your evidence look like and how is it orangsied?

Thanks everyone!

I suspect they've all run off screaming at the mere mention of it.

TheFallenMadonna your right I think!!

TeamEdward, no, not from what we have been told. The idea of selecting 3-6 is to give you a benchmark to assess the rest. That will be a massive amount of work for you! How are you going about it?

So being ignorant here

APP is a new thing yes?

In addition to the assessments teachers already do

Havent teachers got enough to do?

I think fwiw teachers on the whole do a great job and the govt should let you get on with it

Thank-you LauraIngallsWilder!

cat64 we are quite different. We must not use any formal tests. All APP assessment must be on a wide range of cross curriculum work, which we photocopy and then write notes all over drawing links to the Assessment focuses. We need to show a wide range of work and plenty of it SMT say......great!

Because our sch currently deems it the most effective assessment format, in that it has potential to be used for target setting and informing planning as well as feedback inc reports/parents' eve etc

We are an "Outstanding School" and just love to embrace paper work assess thoroughly

oops lets try the crossing out thing again

embrace paper work

angrypixie this is what worries me! We are "Outstanding" too yet working on APP rather differently to you. I like schools being given flexbility but there seems very little guidance on APP best practice.

cat64 marking sounds great for the children. I would love to see it!
