I have taken on 3 assistants (I'm a childminder btw)
They do not work school holidays (they want to stay at home with their own children)
They work up to 6 (ish) hours a week
Do I have any responsibilities with regard to Holiday/Sick and Maternity Pay.
I pay half if they are sick - but nothing if their child is sick (I normally encourage their children to come with them - so they have no childcare costs) and the earn free childcare from me (1 hr per week worked)
Have I got myself into a sticky situation
(wow heavy for a saturday night)
