have been offered a job but have been asked to fill in the crb form in pencilbut sign it in pen! now am i being overly cautious or does this not in fact give this individual a blank crb form with my signature on it. so am i being silly or is this incredibly bad bad practice?

Refuse to sign anything in pen that can be changed - sounds super dodgy.

Bad bad bad practice, I would refuse to do it without a doubt.

Doesn't sound right to me, the ones I've completed have stated on them (or on the separate notes, I can't remember which) that the form had to be in black ink, definately not pencil.

Did they give any kind of reason?

they gave no reason and i did explain that i have filled out quite a few crb before an was unlikely to make any mistake! but the woman was most insistent. have just written a letter telling her to stick her job, i just can't believe they would actually ask people to do this

I would ring the police and just inform them that this is going on - god what they could be doing with your signature!!!!!

have e mailed the crb to ask if this is a practice they would condone. i know it seems a bit over the top to be so p*ed off by it and i suppose their is only so much they could do with it, but i can't believe they even asked!! how very dare they!
