Last week I went for my first interview since having ds, nearly 5 years ago, for a part-time job - smartened myself up, new suit, haircut etc - interview went really well and the job sounded great. On Friday, I got a phone call from them saying that they really wanted me to work with them and the job was mine but was I interested in another "little" job that they had available, a mixture of the two and said that I could be - didn't want to sound inflexible! went for second interview yesterday with a different woman but didn't really gel with her TBH and think I've blown it!!
I'm now waiting to hear, can't concentrate on anything, so I'm going to waste my day on mumsnet - LOL just for a change!
She said she'd ring me today, so keep your fingers (and toes) crossed for me.

But since they have made a verbal offer for the first job, that must stand!
What an odd situation.
Hope it works out for you. LMB

could you call them? would show interest and that you're a "take control and dynamic" type iyswim

I think you need to find a tactful way to say that you were really pleased to have been offered the original job, and that is the one you would like to accept.

I agree, I've written down a few points and left them by the phone so I'm prepared when they call. I did consider phoning them and will do if they haven't called later... just don't want to appear to tread on toes having been interviewed by two separate directors of the business IYSWIM
