AIBU to expect work to give me more than a lump of foam for my backache?

Just wondered what the situation was. Here's the scenario. I am 32 weeks pg but the last few days i have had backache all day because of my chair not being right for me anymore. I told our work station assessment guy about it (who tbf, is absolutely lovely) but all he's done is brought up a foam backrest thing and said that's all they can do really and said "well, you're gonna get this now arent you?".

I've only got about 10 working days left anyway, but should i have to have a backache all day for those remaining 10 days or should work be trying to do something a bit more to help me?

Is there something else they could do do you think?
Are you being allowed to take plenty of breaks from sitting at your desk, etc?

Has someone been in and done a risk assessment, because they should have...?

Yeah i'm allowed plenty of breaks from my desk - i probably should take more perhaps. I'm totally not busy at work and just literally sit here surfing the net all day. Not sure what else they could do really. I spose i'm hoping that they will say "oh we cant help you so you'd best take two weeks off paid" but that just aint gonna happen is it?

LLPJ - yes, risk assessment done regularly.

RGP. Have they offered you a footrest, wuite often backache is due to the change in your posture and a foot rest often works wonders. There need to conplete another workstation assesment for you. Try popping your feet on some boxes and see if it offers any relief - it forces you to sit futher back in the chair with your pelvis in a better alignment.

Also try a cheepo birthing or exercise ball from Argos. They qork wonders to sit on at a desk
