Are one to ones private and confidential?

I said something stupid in a one to one. I was very upset and I thought it was private. Can they use it against me in a disciplinary meeting?

Yes they can op. It’s company work so definitely available to HR at least.

Yes, they can. It's a conversation between employee and employer, so whilst it should be confidential from your colleagues, it is information that can be used by management, HR etc.
