Staff turnover

Have been at my place nearly a year, have tried to hand my notice in towards the beginning as i couldn’t settle in but Was talked round and have settled in, however the staff turnover is soooooo high! Since I’ve started in Feb around 15 people have left. The company is only small (around 45) staff. Would this sound alarming to you? Really considering looking for something new. Another pointer would be they have promised us an Xmas bonus all year but have now spent this on new company cars and no one is receiving a bonus, very disappointing

No brainer. Polish up the CV and get out.

I was in a similar position a few months' ago, staff leaving in droves or being made redundant, false promises everywhere..I had an extremely long notice period so decided to stick it out until they let me go along with a load of other people.

I'd trust your instincts. Sounds shit.

Well I guess the company car recipients are happy? The word “promise” is interesting. Is it forming part of your contract? Who said it? Is the bonus dependent upon making a profit? It might not be linked to a planned change of cars. However, if you are not happy, leave. Yes 33% is high.

Definitely high. Ours was around 15% last year & it felt like someone was constantly leaving (especially as they weren't being replace). Offering & then retracting a bonus is another one I've experienced in current job. If I wasn't 29 weeks pg I'd be looking to move on too! Good luck!
