Can employer ask me to do competancy test?

My employer has been making UK employees redundant the last few months and replace them at our overseas office.

I just received an email asking us login to a competancy questionaire portal, although they didn't ask us to submit the questionnaire but is this a sign of redundacy? Can they do that? It sounds immoral, is this even legal?

Advise will be greatly appreciated!

I would not have thought it was redundancy related but the best thing to do would be to ask what it is for?

So they asked you to access the portal but not submit your response. I don't get that.
