Should I reapply for this job?

I applied for a job two months ago, got an email notification to say that it had been received by the company but never heard anything back.

Fast forward today I found out that they have re-advertised the same job online. I still want the job but they obviously didn't find me suitable the first time. Would it be worth fixing up my CV and trying again or should I just leave it be?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I probably would not, however I don’t think there is any harm in it.

I would reapply. There could be numerous reasons why they did not pursue your application the last time.

It's a very good call to scrutinise your CV and improve it, using online resources on what a good CV should include and formatting for maximum impact.

My best tip is one paragraph at the top, giving a short summary of you as a person. Keep it brief, with a few well chosen words, but try to avoid cliches and think what you'd want to read about someone that would make you say "I really need to meet this person!"

Yes I would and have - then got the job

Re do your CV

Make sure you put the job criteria that you for first

'My strengths are organization, customer focus and strong work ethic' I have X and Y skill set and A and B qualification which you are looking for.

Then list previous work experience
Then qualifications
Then references etc

Short sweet no more than 2 pages

Yes, especially if it’s through an agency.

cool, thanks for the replies. It's a 'first job in a brand new industry' job and i'm finding it hard to elaborate on my skills but I'll start CV again.
