Can anyone explain how pay bands work ?

I'm on the top of a band 6, but applying for a band 7 at another nhs hospital. But band 7 is starts at lower money than a top of a 6 so what would I get ?

Thanks

You move across so to the and spine point you're on now. Good luck!!

You would probably go in at the same wage or the next increment. You wouldn't start at the bottom and take a pay cut

You'll go to point 30. Not sure how it works with the new pay scale though because it's really confusing lol

If you are offered it, request a pay point above what you are on, or equivalent. Check before you accept but it should be routine.

Think you should go across and up one - if that makes sense!
