Fed up at work

I took a trainee job with a construction company whilst studying a degree in QS. Great opportunity so I thought. But no one is 'training me' I'm left with most days with nothing to do, it's so boring. I keep asking people if there's things I can do, so I do admin tasks to keep busy. I've only been there 3 months, I just don't know What to do, the management are just so flaky it's annoying :/ I want to ring in sick tomorrow.

Can you be proactive about it? What things do you want to know? Find out something about what every department does, what contracts are being worked on. What training and documentation do you think there should be? Go and find out and start creating it.
