Do Work have to provide me transport?

Hi everyone, I have a dissiplinary for imsubordination. The thing is it’s not at the place at work and at the head office 1/2 hr away. I don’t drive. I’ve told them and they’ve told me to catch the bus. Do work have to provide me transport to get to the dissiplinary?

Is there a reason you can’t catch a bus?

I can see why you have a disciplinary for insubordination.

No, why would they? Unless there are no public transport links in which case you might have a point.

Also, having a go about transport when you’re already up on a disciplinary for insubordination isn’t really the best idea is it? Unless you want to lose your job.

There is a certain irony here. You should get the bus.

Are you asking if they ought to pay your bus fare?

“Ive refused to follow rules at work and i am being disciplined for it. AIBU to not follow rules about any disciplinary procedures?”

Seriously? You are going for a disciplinary for insubordination and want them to pay your transport because you can't drive?

How many days till they fire you..,🤣

No, they don’t.

There are people who drive professionally. They’re called taxis. Get one.

Is there no public transport? If you’re in a big city, 30 minutes probably only translates into a short bus journey. This really doesn’t seem like the right time to be insisting on a taxi.

You are joking, aren't you? You are going for a disciplinary and you are quibbling about transport? Get a bus/taxi/lift if you want to keep your job.
