I'm on maternity leave for another 5 months and need to attend a meeting with HR about the restructure taking place. My department are being merged organisation on TUPE and from my understanding because the site for our department will change, voluntary redundancy is an option.
I'm having an issue getting a union rep so I'm wondering if I actually need one for a consultation meeting? What kind of things will be discussed? The generic letter I received advising of the restructure mentioned interviews but I was of the understanding if there were roles available I'd have to be offered one if it was mandatory redundancy.
Does anyone have any information on how they work or how I can prepare for the meeting?
