Holiday entitlement for part time hours - I'm confused

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. When I went back to work after having my DD (new job, new company) I worked 4 days (29.5 hours per week in total) and was entitled to 16 days a year holiday. I have now changed to 5 days a week, same amount of hours just spread out over an extra day. Does this mean I get any extra holiday allowance? Gov.uk website tells me I'm entitled to 165 hours holiday but how do I break this down into days when I work a full day until 6pm on 1 day and until 3pm on the other days?

Part time workers in my office get their holiday allocated in hours rather than days so you would have had 4 x 29.5 hours if you'd be entitled to 4 weeks leave if full time. If you're now working 29.5 hours but over 5 days, you'd still get 4 x 29.5 hours annual leave. Then if you work 6 hours on a Monday and want a Monday off you'd book off 6 hours, if you work 3 hours on a Tuesday you'd only need to book out 3 hours for a Tuesday off. You should have a contract though that spells out your entitlement for your part time hours as your company may work differently.

Should have said, sorry. Bank holidays may also be pro rata so some of those hours on the gov website will include bank holiday hours. If you work 5 days a week then you'd now be entitled to all of the bank holidays if you work in an office that is open Monday to Friday.

My contract only states the hours I work and that I'm entitled to holiday pro rata. OK I will ask them to consider mine in hours as its harder now I work the extra day during school holidays, I'm already struggling to cover those.

If you work different hours on different days (not just a straight half day or full day) they really need to calculate it in hours.
