Your contract should state if you have any holiday allowance. Most school jobs which are term time only do not allow you to take holiday in term time.

The 13 weeks a year the school is closed?

Sorry I should make it a bit clearer.
Just wanted to know the statutory allowance for someone working those hours.
Contract states 16.18 days plus 8 bank Hols. Is this correct?

Yes that sounds correct to me. 16.18 days @2.5 hours plus the BH's

I think OP means paid holiday??

OP how many weeks per year do you work? (It's usually 39 or 40). Also, are you paid term time only or are you paid on a formula where you receive the pay over 12 months?

Let me know and I'll work your paid holiday entitlement out for you Smile

sounds about right ... 28 days (5 weeks, 3 days) including bank holidays for someone who works all year round (but as a school cleaner you would be paid to take those 28days in the school holidays.).

Being paid for 5 out of 13 weeks school holiday means working about 8 weeks less than "all year round" - roughly 2 days leave earned per month of actual working - so 4 days less than 28 =24 (and 16+8=24)
