Dilemma: Offered a maternity contract but am pregnant myself

Hi

I have a dilemma. I have been offered a maternity contract for a fantastic job that would be absolutely perfect for me. It was advertised as being for up to 9 months.

However I have a dilemma in that I am 6 weeks pregnant myself. I therefore know full well that I may be unlikely to commit to the full duration of the contract.

I am torn as to what to do. Part of me wants to be honest about things, but then I had decided that did not want to reveal my pregnancy until I was past my first trimester. The role is truly awesome. The role is also with a charity, so I feel worse about messing them around.

Should I say something? Should I turn the contract down? How would you advise I handle it?
