Medical report being sent to OH help please

Due to some issues at work back in April I asked to be referred to occupational health, as it was the only avenue I had where I could confidentially talk to someone about issues at work that were affecting me. I ticked the see reports before box and I was asked if they could request my medical records. I said yes but again only after I had read the report. Since I have had some counselling which OH recommended and had a review telephone consultation. Only in the last few days have I heard from my doctors to go and read the report they are going to send and I have read it but to be honest it contains information that is irrelevant and goes back years. Can I stop it being sent? Can I retract my permission now? Any advice please

Thanks, my plan I think is to phone the surgery on Monday as the lady I need to speak to wasn't there on Friday and voice my reasons and concerns. If not happy then I presume I contact OH and say I dont give permission or do I tell the doctors not to send? What is worrying me is me stopping it now. Would it look like I gave something to hide, I haven't it's just that I genuinely feel the report is not linked to why I asked to go to OH if that makes sense. Also it will open up a whole can of worms at work which through my counselling sessions I have got to a point that I am happy if that makes sense.

It depends what OH have asked of your GP. It's not good to withhold information but it's difficult to comment without seeing the letter that OH sent to the GP.

Unless the role means you're legally required to disclose certain health conditions, you are completely within your rights to withdraw permission and they can't judge your capability based on that.
