Background Checks

If a person was to to be offered & accepted a role in recruitment (within RPO) and they had a police caution (not criminal) less than 5 years ago - would this automatically stop the person from starting the job? Also, does the background check show what the caution was for?

A caution is a conviction. Hopefully it was honestly declared on the form?

The recruiter will decide whether or not it's a deal breaker and the details will matter I expect.

No. There should be no discrimination for ex-convicts as after they have served their time, they have equal rights as everybody else. The background check will definitely reveal a caution or conviction, but the company shouldn’t take it against the job applicant.

I've recently tested out a few background check services and were surprised to find how inaccurate the results were. Only this one Background check www.checkthem.com/ showed nearly all of my previous addresses and phone number history. I think this is a good indicator.
