And got an interview. More money, better hours........totally rotten interview. I thought I had prepared but just stumbled over all the questions and waffled. I won't have got it. Feel rubbish and stuck in my current job. Jobs like the one I applied for just don't come up often. Gutted.

I've been there too, so huge sympathies. On the positive side, I was no.2 on the job list and the no. 1 person turned it down, so I was offered the job after all.

Thanks for replying. I am kicking myself still.....

I can't imagine I would even be last on the list.

That happened to me too, worst interview I ever had. A few days later they called to offer me the job, I couldn't believe it! Don't lose hope yet!

This happened to me a few weeks ago, I went completely blank and couldnt even answer the questions and my presentation was ridiculous. I have no idea of what happened, its never happened before.

They rang me later to say they couldnt offer me the job I had gone for as I messed up the interview so badly, but they really liked me, my cv and the bones of the presentation and so offered me another position.

Sympathies OP, its horrible when that happens.

Me too, I get terrible interview anxiety.
I buggered up an interview two weeks ago, gutted.

So many times i have come out of an interview thinking "that went well", and never heard anything. Other times, thinking "oh god, that was terrible!", and I get a call. I think it's because if they decide early on that you are not right for the job, they stop interrogating so the interview seems easy. If they think you might be right, they want to be sure and so up the ante.
