Does anyone have a work colleague who you dread asking "how are you today" too. I have one who drones on about his illness, sick child etc in great detail and this bores me to tears. He sits next to the kitchen so is forever popping in whilst you are waiting for the kettle to boil. I am on the verge of telling him that I don't give a flying hoot... I am really a nice person and this it takes a lot to get me in his state! Argh Wine

I feel your pain. I think every workplace must have to have one of these by law or something. The glass half full types.

I've started replying with "It's being so positive that's keeping you going isn't it X?"

Thanks for your support! He was off work ill for 4 days and it was bliss getting a cuppa! He only had flu, so nothing serious, but he started giving me a run down of every day of his illness. Temperature on each night etc. It is so eyewateringly dull. I eventually stopped him at day 2 and said "you must have lots of work to catch up on" Hint hint !!

Christ! Do we work for the same company?

I have a colleague, who sits next to the kitchen, who has been off for four days this week, who has a child, who is a hypochondriac....

I am a really nice person too but I often want to tell him to shut the f* up!!!
