Sleepless nights because of work

I can't give too much away but I just want to write things down. I'm currently under investigation at work. There's no truth in the allegation but it's quite a grey area and I might have to take a lesser charge. We're going through a huge retendering process which means I could lose my job. I'm managing a couple of high profile cases and I have really ineffective and disinterested management. I feel incredibly alone and vulnerable. I'm pleased I've wrote this down. I'm going to self refer to staff support and meet with my union rep next week. I'm shattered!

It sounds like you are doing all the right things to try and manage this situation. You might like to have your post moved to the employment thread where there are some regular MNters who are employment experts. Good luck and I hope all goes well for you.

Staff support and union sound like good options. Do you want to talk more about what the problem actually is? Have you thought about what outcome you want?

Hi flowery. I've has a chat with one if my colleagues today. We're under a huge amount if pressure to perform and I'm nhs so we need to provide the best quality of care. I work with a particularly risky client group. We've had a number of deaths and a couple of homocides. I hold responsibility and feel unsupported. Lots of the senior team who I have relied on are either on long term sick or have left. I feel vulnerable. I'm hoping the investigation will come to nothing. I can't give any details really but I'm concerned on the current climate I'm on the radar for all the wrong reasons. That's for listening. :)

No arrangements fab. I'm just expected to get on with it. I'm one of those people that's just left to it because I rarely make noises and thankfully I have a good team. I've got a new consultant starting next week. I think she is someone I can get support from. It will hopefully improve things. I'm going to book on with staff support and I have a coach I haven't seen for some time. I'll contact her too.

Keep notes of everything.

Ideally see a solicitor even if just for 30 minutes of advice.
