My role was analysed in 2008 during the HERA process and I was placed on a higher grade due to some specific duties that I carried out at that time. Since then the nature of my work has changed as I no longer carry out those tasks. My colleagues are questioning the discrepancy between salaries. Does anyone know if either my manager could have my post regraded or whether a colleague starting the process would cause my post to be re-evaluated?
It could happen but will be dependent on how your manager views it (if other members of the team are very upset) and what other changes take place in the organisation. I am about to go through this with a member of staff and their salary will be protected for 3 years.
