Why do you think that you won't be kept on after your probation period?

Yes. I resigned immediately when i realised that was going to happen to me.
But they can also extend probation, so its not necessarily game over.

Id wait to be sure. ( I was sure in my situation because they were really annoyed about me being pregnant and did all sorts to trip me up.)

If you are truly worried, judt pre empt it by looking for something new. I feel for you, its shit.

They have extended my probation period by 4 Weeks already. The end of January is the busiest time of year and I'm 99.9% sure they want keep me on.

I think they couldn't find anyone at the level they wanted but as it is the busy period took me on and are now criticising everything I do (really knocking my confidence) but I didn't claim at interview to have more experience than I do but they are disappointed with me.

My mil says it's their fault for not asking the right questions at interview. but as we have no employment rights for 2 years it's my tough luck

No advice to offer but commiserations. Employers are really harsh sometimes and at the moment they have all the cards bastards.

Can you go to someone in HR and say 'look, please be honest, is this going to happen because then I know to start looking around'?

there are no jobs in my field for me to apply for :-(

Ds 2 turned 1 this weekend and Ds1 doesn't start school till September . So I would be happy to stay home with them. But worry about my future career. And ds 2 settling back into nursery
