Work

Future job.

I am abroad now but looking to come back to UK later in the year and I will be looking for work.
I was checking out the area I am hoping to move to and saw a job that I am very interested in. Obviously they need someone now and I can't go now but would it be wrong to contact them with my cv and tell them for future reference?

It can't do any harm and they may keep you on file for future possible positions

Is there no way you can apply for it, and if you get it, then move back early? If that's not possible, then sure, send in your CV for future reference, but don't rely on them to keep you at the forefront of their minds. I know places say 'your CV will remain on file for 6 months' but in reality I think this means they file it in the bin. So even if you do send it in and make contact, I would still keep an eye out for their vacancies.

Unfortunately no I can't go any sooner as I about to start work here for the summer season. Its not fair to walk out on one job and leave them in the lurch. Summer season here is from May till October.

I think I will send them my cv and see what happens. I can always get in contact with again in November when I go back.
