I'm about to see someone who wants a job for a couple of hours on a Friday night. What would be a decent rate of pay?

There are actually two jobs available, one is more hands on helping in a children's drama class, the other is more a recptionist/tea maker role.

My son earns £5 per hour in a cafe. His girlfriend earns £6 an hour in a restaurant.

My cousin gets £3.80 which he tells me is legal but sounds low...he thinks it is the norm tbh

I pay my 16yo jill of all trades £4 an hour, this is more than her other two jobs. I poached her from a waitressing job with an extra 50p an hour.
A lot depends where you live.
She is off to ag college next week :(

thats the legal minimum wage for a 16 year old.

The main issue is it is only 2 hours per week the last person did 4 and half hours but this one can't.

I was thinking £10 for 2 hours might be low, how about £12?

About to leave!

£10 sounds good and then can up it a little in a few weeks if the person is great!
