Haven't done one for a while, most applications done on line, but a few want CV's, could someone give me the basic headings or point me to a good website pretty please?

I have, name, address, email etc on top, key skills - bullets points relevent to job in question , carreer to date ,other exeperience- eg voluntary work - education, other skills - eg IT , I say references available on request - ideally 2 pages - or 3 if you have long career history - there is a book Killer CVs which me and my DH found v useful

Don't ever out marital status or details if kids/pets.

don't put date of birth either - and make sure there are no unexplained gaps - if you have been at home - carrer break is probably good to put in - and any voluntary work at all all good

Adapt the CV for each specific job being applied for, so that it highlights the skillset the job requires. This can be hard to do but can sometimes be done by expanding on what your role was in certain jobs and putting other jobs as basic detail only.
