Hi,

I've been working in a home for people with learning disabilities for about 5 months now. I've been doing this kind of work for 11 years now. When I applied for the job I said that I have my GNVQ's in care. I did these when I was 18, I'm now nearly 30 and have no idea where the certificates are.
At my supervision today, the manager said she needs to have them or coppies of them on file for inspection reasons.
Is there any way of getting coppies? It was so long ago now.
I don't suppose the colledge would have records that far back.
If not, what can I do? I don't want to loose this job as I'm really enjoying it.
It's such a nightmare.

I've just re-read this and my english is awful. I did work a night shift last night, so that's my excuse. Wink

Call college and ask if they have archives? I know I can get dupicate school certificates for a fee so I don't think college would be any different.

The exam board will re-issue certificates.

I have a client who has been hassled because his city and guilds certs were not available online
he did them in 1972
I started quoting age discrimination legislation ans all of a sudden time limits were extended and rules made more relaxed / realistic
DO not accept the "computer says no" approach
