Elderly mother, broken hip

My 77 year old mother, was admitted to hospital on a Monday with a broken hip. Still here on Saturday with no date for surgery. She is becoming increasingly confused and at time aggressive towards me. I’m really at my wits end.
For background information, my mother lives in Northern Ireland (Antrim) and we live in Surrey. I flew here on Thursday with my 15 year old daughter.

Sympathies.

Ask why they aren't meeting national guidelines.

Hip fractures should be operated on within 48hrs.

Hope mum is ok. Have the doctors given you a reason for the delay. Are they still planning to do an operation. Could it be she has an infection, abnormal blood tests, on medication or not strong enough at the moment. I would ask the staff what the plan is.

Thank you for your messages. Here at the hospital, waiting for mum to go to theatre. Fingers crossed it doesn't get cancelled again!
