how often do you see your elderly parent/s?

Mine are in their 80s, luckily still living independently and in good health. The round trip to visit them is approx 100 miles and takes an hour each way if I travel at the right time. I love them both dearly and speak to my mum every day on the phone. At the moment I see them about once a month but would like to increase this as I don't think it's enough - they won't be around for ever and I want them to know how much I appreciate them. That's the reason for my question - thanks.

when my mum was here I saw her every week, but I lived 10 miles away

just do what you can, and make sure you phone them often

if its possible to visit more..do..they arent there for ever

but you must live your life too, and they'll know that

My Mum now lives about 10 miles away. I visit for about an hour and a half every week and an additional afternoon at the weekend twice a month.

When my Dad was alive, they lived about 60 miles away and I would try and visit once a month.
