i took my 4 niece's and dd out for the day last week to a local park.
they are aged from 3.5 to 9 years.
i had become a walking coat rack and decided to drop all coats to the car whilst they were in a rose garden, i could see them at all times.
on my way back i saw eldest dn 9 years ushering them all out with other dn 7 years at the rear of the other 3. i ran over ad eldest looked a little panicked. they had found syringes in the bushes, lots.
i was very impressed with them all and also impressed they knew what they were.
they had had a lesson on drugs, the 7 and 9 year old and knew what to do, don t touch , don't kick.
my dd is not at school yet and whilst i am a little shocked they have to do this kind of education its nice to know that its sinking in.

they sound like really helpful lovely girls!

yes, it's sad that such young children need these lessons but reassuring to know they can stay safe that way.

on the inside of the toilet door in our local park it says "Don't do drugs here - the police know what you are doing". I am just waiting for the moment when I have to explain that one.

we did then go into the museums loos and there was a blue light, i explained and they were a little freaked out when i told them, dont know if they get the whole concept yet. i was so proud of them.
