i no i might be sounding thick here but i need your brains please !!!! could you please please please explain the industrial revolution to me (i.e) what happened, why it happend in easy for me to understand words i think that once i understand it i will be able to write more on this blody essay thank you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

ok another question i was doing well writing loads on my essay and iread the paper we have been given and it say that

ALL WORK HAS TO BE REFERED TO PUBLISHED SOURCES

what does that mean does it mean that i have to get everything out of a book or what im very confused {need a drink smiley

It means you can't put in stuff from Cod's source without citing the source. Normally you can give references to websites OR to books - for a website you'd have to include address and the date you consulted it. That is unless you are writing an essay for a really strict institution that doesn't accept websites at all! Normally the big no-no is using the web without admitting it, so it really is better to say when you have taken ideas of info from somewhere.

...sorry if this sounds like a lecture, Nikcola! TIme to change jobs maybe...

Nikcola, you would reference it in the text of your essay, so you would either refer to or quote what Murdoch said, then add in brackets (Murdoch, pp 12-14), and then at the back of the essay you need to provide a bibliography - a list of all the books you have used, their authors, their publishers and the year of publication. You list the websites here too.
