Annemount is owned and run by the head who can be quite a marmite character. She's burned through some very good staff in recent years. IMHO the school puts an emphasis on manners over actual kindness if that makes sense. It really only survives because of the pressure on places in that part of London. Have a look at The Avenue as an alternative. We've had friends who were relatively happy at Devonshire house but it's a very different school than Annemount. I'm guessing these are the only two with places?

Hi,

Did you decide on Annemount in the end? We're currently really so torn between offers at The Avenue and Annemount! Both get Excellent inspection reports and we liked both when we went round so it's really difficult to choose. Neither seem to publish 7+ leaver stats either.

Hi,

Did any of your children actually end up at Annemount? Really enjoyed the tour but not sure if it's the right place for our son.

I’d like to find out more about Annemount too. Similarly enjoyed the tour, but would love some thoughts from anyone who has children there currently. Was also slightly alarmed by a recent thread regarding SEN at the school (that the head, who is also the SENCO has a tendency to try and ‘diagnose’ SEN especially in boys). Would be interested in any thoughts on that from recent parents

There are much better schools. I have had friends leave both, if you have another option I'd look elsewhere.
