Dd has been pestering me to go so I have booked her in for a 3 day flexi camp. The website looks impressive though I note they pay their staff a pittance.

Is it any good?

I suppose, as in most things, the 'is it any good?' question elicts different answers from different people.
DS went several times and enjoyed it. He likes sport so he enjoyed the sporty stuff but didn't like the make-and-do stuff so much.
He is as tough as old boots so took it all in his stride. My friend's kids, who are the sort who are washed out by the end of term, found a full week was fairly exhausting.

I found it good for noisy sporty children although the Friday afternoon "games" session (to which parents are invited) involved alot of joking and shouting mainly, it seemed, for the staff`s benefit.
Supercamps seems better for younger or less sporty children - more crafty stuff but plenty of interesting sport too (this is in Birmingham). They also offer the opportunity to pay on a daily basis, good for part time workers.
Both offer good discounts for NHS staff (phone your "work life balance co-ordinater"!)
