Does anyone have any experience of this school? Is it good? Any information, good or bad would be great, thank you!

I have never been to visit so I can't comment directly. However I have a number of friends with DCs there. The general opinion is that is is very tired looking - almost like you're going back 30 years. All the desks and chairs etc are OLD. Class sizes are very very small - sometime 6-8 in a class. All my friends kids who go have special needs in one way or another ranging from Down's syndrome to dyslexia and ADHD. They are all very happy with the school as are the kids and they are getting good support from school. Everyone who I know that goes there loves the school despite its appearance.

It is viewed locally as a refuge for those who don't pass the 11+ ( which in this area takes roughly the top 25%) and whose parents don't want them in the local secondary schools. A good proportion have, as has been said, some special needs- there are some however who just aren't terribly bright. But the school is regarded as one that does it's very best for ALL the pupils, the pastoral care is excellent and the children well mannered and much more understanding of others than some other private schools in the area. It is certainly not for academic high fly=ers though!

ToneDeafHamster have you tried Stamford High School? It might be a better fit.

If the children have the ability they will do just fine and have fun too.

We had a grandchild in the school for 2 terms before removing her.
I believe if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. As there is nothing good to say about this establishment, I guess there's nothing else to say.
