Hello all, I am just wondering if there is anyone that can tell me how much it is to do a CIPD Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Practice. It's an online course. Thanks

I paid £1800 through ICS, two years ago. Is there a local college you could attend? My local one has just started running course and it would have much preferred the classroom environment.
Level 3 is easy, especially if working in hr, but I definitely would should a college if I had my time again.

Opps! Just realised I did the level 3 diploma, not certificate.

My sister has just started this and she's paying £2500. You may find applying for roles as HR assistant/HR Administrator will suit you better and then ask your employer to part fund your CIPD if you will struggle with the fees.

As an alternative theres alternative qualifications that I believe are as good if not better than CIPD provided by the Institute of Recruiters : www.theior.org.uk/
Their version of the Foundation CIPD is cheaper and covers the same stuff. Some courses are free too. Its gaining a lot of respect across businesses throughout the UK.

They are not the industry standard though. CIPD is because it is broad and it covers much more than recruiting! MCIPD is recognised everywhere.

I did the Level 5 through ICS because I noticed that it was only a few hundred pounds more expensive than the Level 3. I did have some experience in HR but only recruitment and only 7 months - and they let me on. I didn't find the course too challenging either - it was very straightforward. So perhaps consider the Level 5 too.
