St George's Weybridge or Claremont Fan Esher - any views?

I wondered if anyone out there has experience of these two schools in Weybridge and Esher? I'm looking for a school for my DS (currently 6) and my DD, 3. I'm going to see both - and from what I can gather on the net, Claremont is viewed as not very academic, but kind and nurturing, and St George's is seen as a very competitive environment, with better results. Any enlightenment would be much appreciated!

And if there are any other good schools I don't know about - would love to hear about them. Looking for independents where they can go all the way through from prep to senior school. Was thinking co-ed, but happy to look at single sex too.

My DSs went to St George's. It is reasonably academic but also has good pastoral care. Basically, it provides a well rounded education.

St G was a great school, but recently they have been increasing student numbers and office staff but not teachers. Teachers seem worn out too, it makes me nervous! On the plus side they do have good facilities, a nice environment.
