SATS results- anyone?

Hi all, I had my DS SATS results this week. Exceeded in writing, expected in all other subjects, Maths was 109, SPAG was 114. He's done pretty well from what I can gather but finding it hard to really tell. Is there any equivalent to the old NC levels?

He's got the highest he can get in all the teacher assessments (only writing has a greater depth category - the others are just at the standard or not).

In the tests, 100 is age-related expectations. 80 is the lowest; 120 is the highest. There's no comparison to old NC levels as the NC is really quite different but these are good scores.

For the actual tests you are either at standard or not at standard, the score tells you how well they are going against the standard but there is no numerical value that gives you 'exceeded'.

Schools seem to be doing teacher assessment in different ways, some giving exceeding, some not.

DS1 got 120 in reading (with 100%), 114 SPAG and 110 maths.

He also exceeded the standard on extended writing. I'm very proud.

My child for 114 reading. 111 spag and 112 maths.... I'm very proud.

My DD scored 116,118 and 119 but got expected levels in 3 of the 4 levels and only GDS in writing. All a bit confusing?!
