Not sure why I'm posting this but here goes. DS took first sat yesterday, went ok but said it was hard. So far so predictable. 5.30 this morning he wakes with raging temp 38 and sore throat. Why why why now??? School asked if I would consider letting him go in for today's paper then straight home so have agreed but only because he is upset at missing sats. 5 months of nothing but test papers every day have made him feel that it was all wasted effort if he doesn't sit tests. Trouble is its not just today is it? 2 more days of this may just be too much especially if its tonsils. Aaaah

He can take them next week instead if you promise to keep him (and I suggest also yourself) away from kids/social media where the tests are discussed.
