I discovered that it's possible to pick up bad habits when using a computer-based course, unless someone who knows what they are doing is watching and correcting. In which case, you may as well have proper tuition with an actual person.

It's more expensive, but all my DC can now touch type extremely well and ain't really did consider it an investment worth making.

How old is your DC?

You'd be far better off buying a 'learn to touch type book' for about a million percent less than the cost of this.

thanks. The course is supervised by an actual person with a low pupil to staff ratio.

Yes a free online system (not sure about a book these days) would be much cheaper. However try and get an 11yr old boy to do typing lessons for you.......

That's expensive! my ds learned to type with this for free.

Ds is doing the online fun typed course. Access to exactly the same interface - which is very engaging - just no supervision. It's still expensive at £55/pa but much more motivating for my 11 yo than the free ones we've used in the past so worth it for us. It was recommended by his OT as this best option for keeping boys that age engaged :-)
