My 2.7 year old is having her 3+ test for the Abbey in Reading soon. Not sure what to expect. What do 3+ selection processes usually involve?

there's a thread called 3+ 4+ 5+ 7+ support on primary education with more info. I think it's a bit hit and miss, all the schools I know that take in at 3 have a bit of a chucking out process at 7. I would imagine knowing shapes, colours, maybe being able to recognise the odd letter, sitting still, not being too shy.

Thanks.

I've looked at that thread but it mainly seems to be 4+ and above - I guess there aren't that many places with a 3+ and all of them have different processes so it's hard to generalise.

I'm not sure she'll get in unless they ask her about dinosaurs - she is obsessed with them and can recognise lots of different types of dinosaur but she's not so great at displaying knowledge or ability about anything else...
