And?

ArthurShappey · 17/11/2014 17:17

Errr okay. Are you his wife and particularly excited to be moving?

dodo3 · 17/11/2014 17:19

Professional suicide

OP posts:
HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 17/11/2014 17:19

Betcha they are opening an international or English school over there. Masses of money to be made.

MarthasHarbour · 17/11/2014 17:19

To be fair to the OP ours is moving to Stockport and we are all gutted too! Wink

shushpenfold · 17/11/2014 17:21

What, professional suicide after being HM at Eton.......I think not. Sensible and mildly predictable move. What else do you do after that job!!

usualsuspect333 · 17/11/2014 17:21

I'm sure Eton will find someone to replace him.

shushpenfold · 17/11/2014 17:23

Usual - they already have, announced several months ago.

NorwaySpruce · 17/11/2014 17:23

There's only one way a head teacher of Eton could commit professional suicide, and moving to Dubai ain't it.

I'd say he's onto a pretty cushy number actually.

usualsuspect333 · 17/11/2014 17:24

I'm not really up on the Eton comings and goings TBH.

shushpenfold · 17/11/2014 17:27

Grin Not many of us are I suspect!

roundtable · 17/11/2014 17:28

Usual Grin

That tickled me.

I opened this thread thinking it was going to be something outrageous. Dubai are trying to push their lifestyle again as they are floundering so they are probably trying to lure in people with the idea of ultra exclusive schooling.

dodo3 · 17/11/2014 17:28

Dubai works in a totally different way to here I give him a year, two max.

OP posts:
NorwaySpruce · 17/11/2014 17:30

To be fair, Eton works in a totally different way to most of 'here'. I'm pretty sure he'll cope.

usualsuspect333 · 17/11/2014 17:33

He will make loads of money in Dubai though.

I know a teacher who is minted from teaching in Dubai.

Good luck to him, I say.

LeopardInABobbleHat · 17/11/2014 17:33

I think he's probably done his research into the post. I wouldn't worry about him.

ReinholdMessner · 17/11/2014 22:00

What a peculiar thread.

Unexpected · 17/11/2014 22:32

Are you an expert on the way that Dubai works Dodo3? I suspect Tony Little is perfectly capable of working out whether a move to Dubai is the right one for him or not. Apart from anything else, he is already 60. He'd have to try pretty hard to commit professional suicide in the years remaining before he decides to retire (probably about 2).

Lambstales · 17/11/2014 22:47

I suggest that after Oakham and Eton it's a rather different placement.

Oh, he'll get loads of dosh!

NoelleHawthorne · 17/11/2014 22:49

Why do we care? Op strangely worried about someone else's career

IndridCold · 18/11/2014 00:44

Financial Times link which explains what he is really going to do.

Oh well that's a comfort.

AvonCallingBarksdale · 18/11/2014 14:38

Jeepers, I had a lot of work to do today, but that is going to have to go on hold while I give my full, undivided attention to this. Confused

LineRunner · 18/11/2014 14:42

As you see from my last post, I had a sleepless night over it.
