Betcha they are opening an international or English school over there. Masses of money to be made.

To be fair to the OP ours is moving to Stockport and we are all gutted too! Wink

What, professional suicide after being HM at Eton.......I think not. Sensible and mildly predictable move. What else do you do after that job!!

usualsuspect333 · 17/11/2014 17:21

I'm sure Eton will find someone to replace him.

Report
shushpenfold · 17/11/2014 17:23

Usual - they already have, announced several months ago.

There's only one way a head teacher of Eton could commit professional suicide, and moving to Dubai ain't it.

I'd say he's onto a pretty cushy number actually.

I'm not really up on the Eton comings and goings TBH.

Usual Grin

That tickled me.

I opened this thread thinking it was going to be something outrageous. Dubai are trying to push their lifestyle again as they are floundering so they are probably trying to lure in people with the idea of ultra exclusive schooling.

Dubai works in a totally different way to here I give him a year, two max.

To be fair, Eton works in a totally different way to most of 'here'. I'm pretty sure he'll cope.

He will make loads of money in Dubai though.

I know a teacher who is minted from teaching in Dubai.

Good luck to him, I say.

I think he's probably done his research into the post. I wouldn't worry about him.

What a peculiar thread.

Are you an expert on the way that Dubai works Dodo3? I suspect Tony Little is perfectly capable of working out whether a move to Dubai is the right one for him or not. Apart from anything else, he is already 60. He'd have to try pretty hard to commit professional suicide in the years remaining before he decides to retire (probably about 2).

Lambstales · 17/11/2014 22:47

I suggest that after Oakham and Eton it's a rather different placement.

Oh, he'll get loads of dosh!

Why do we care? Op strangely worried about someone else's career

Jeepers, I had a lot of work to do today, but that is going to have to go on hold while I give my full, undivided attention to this. Confused

As you see from my last post, I had a sleepless night over it.
